Final expense inbound calls
Last updated
Final expense inbound calls are live phone calls from seniors who saw a final expense ad and dialed the number themselves. HotInboundCalls routes each call to a licensed agent in the caller's state, during the hours the agent sets, for $45 to $65 per billable call. An inbound call only becomes billable after 90 seconds.
What is a final expense inbound call?
It is a phone call, not a lead. A senior sees an ad about final expense coverage, the ad tells them coverage is about a dollar to three dollars a day and up, and they pick up the phone and dial. The call goes through our call system and rings your phone while the caller is still on the line. You are talking to a person who chose to call, not dialing a name off a list.
How is that different from leads and live transfers?
| Inbound call | Live transfer | Lead (shared, aged or exclusive) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you get | A live caller who dialed from an ad | A live caller that comes through a call center first | A name and phone number |
| Your work | Answer and qualify | Answer and qualify | Dial, often many times |
| When you pay | Only if the call passes the billable time | Only if the call passes the billable time | For every record, whether they answer or not |
Read the longer comparison in pay-per-call vs pay-per-lead.
How does a call reach my phone?
- The ad runs on TV, connected TV, Facebook or Google.
- The senior dials the number in the ad.
- We route it by state and time to an agent licensed in that state who is taking calls.
- Your phone rings with a live person on the line.
- You qualify. Not a fit? Hang up before 90 seconds and you are not charged.
Which call types can I buy?
| Call type | How it reaches you | Billable after |
|---|---|---|
| Inbound (social) | Consumer sees an online ad (Facebook, Google) and dials | 90 seconds |
| CTV inbound | Consumer sees a connected-TV (streaming) ad and dials | Set in your written terms |
| Live transfer | Comes through a call center first, then handed to you on the line | 2 minutes |
| Elite live transfer | Comes through a call center first, longer billable window | 3 minutes |
We keep connected-TV calls and social inbound calls as separate products so you know exactly which one you are buying. Connected-TV calls cost more. See CTV final expense calls and final expense live transfers.
What do the calls cost?
Calls run $45 to $65 per billable call, depending on your volume, your states and other things like the call type. You pay from a prepaid balance, only for calls that pass the billable time, and your exact price is confirmed on a 15-minute call before you spend anything. See pricing.
How does the 90-second rule work?
These are live calls, so you get 90 seconds to qualify the caller. If they are not a fit, wrong number, outside your market, not the coverage you sell, hang up before 90 seconds and you do not pay. After 90 seconds it is a billable call. More on this in what a billable buffer is.
Who are these calls for?
- Licensed final expense and life agents who would rather talk than dial.
- Agencies with several licensed agents.
- Agents who already buy leads or transfers and want to compare cost per conversation.
Who should not buy them?
- Agents who cannot answer the phone during the hours they set. A missed live call is a missed sale.
- Agents who are not licensed in the states they want calls from. Calls are only routed to licensed states.
What do I need to start?
An active license in the states you want calls from, a phone you will answer during your hours, and a funded balance. Book a 15-minute call, tell us your states, and we tell you which are open right now.
How do I evaluate a final expense call provider?
- Who starts the call? Does the consumer dial from an ad, or is the call transferred from a call center?
- When is a call billable? Get the number of seconds in writing.
- Which channel? TV, connected TV, Facebook, Google? Prices and callers differ.
- States and hours. Are calls routed only to your licensed states, during hours you set?
- Bad calls. How do disputes work, and how fast?
- Your money. Prepaid or invoiced? What happens to an unused balance?
