Medicare inbound calls for agents
Last updated
HotInboundCalls is opening Medicare inbound call lines for licensed agents for this enrollment season. The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period runs Oct 15 to Dec 7, with coverage starting Jan 1. For 2027 coverage, CMS requires the TPMO disclaimer before benefits are discussed and sales call recordings kept for 6 years.
How do Medicare inbound calls work?
A consumer sees an ad, dials, and the call is routed live to a licensed agent in their state during the agent's hours. You qualify the caller; the call becomes billable only after the billable time in your written terms.
Which 2027 call rules apply?
| Rule | What CMS says | Source |
|---|---|---|
| TPMO disclaimer | Read verbally before benefits are discussed | source |
| Call recordings | Keep sales and marketing call recordings for 6 years (down from 10) | source |
| Scope of Appointment | Appointment can happen any time after the SOA is completed | source |
A TPMO (third-party marketing organization) is an agency, lead seller or call center that markets Medicare Advantage or Part D plans. Read the full Medicare AEP guide for agents.
What about dual-eligible callers?
A D-SNP is a Medicare Advantage plan only for people with both Medicare and Medicaid (source). Duals have monthly special enrollment periods with limits (source).
What do Medicare calls cost?
Medicare pricing depends on the state, the season and the call type, so we quote it on a 15-minute call.
